Food for Seniors

Food for Seniors (Commodity Supplemental Food Program – CSFP), provides FREE food to low-income seniors. Eligible participants will receive a box of groceries each month.


Am I Eligible to Participate in Food for Seniors (CSFP)?

To be eligible you must be at least 60 years of age and meet the income guidelines:

What type of groceries will I receive?

Participants receive approximately 30 pounds of food per month. Groceries are pre-packed in boxes and include a variety of foods such as milk, cereal, grains, cheese, juice, canned meat, peanut butter, canned vegetables and canned fruit.

I am interested, what do I need to sign up?

To sign up for Food for Seniors (Commodity Supplemental Food Program – CSFP), please bring the following documents to one of the public distribution sites and complete a short application.

  • Proof of identity and age (e.g., Driver’s license, I.D. card, passport, medical card, etc.)

  • Address verification, if current address is not listed on proof of identity (e.g., car registration, or any bill with your name and current address)

Do I need to attend a public distribution to receive Food for Seniors products?

No, once you are enrolled in the program you can designate a proxy to pick up your food for you. Proxies can be designated at the time of enrollment or by filling out an Alternate (Proxy) Pick Up Form.

Individuals will need to personally attend their first Food for Seniors (Commodity Supplemental Food Program – CSFP) distribution to enroll in the program. Individuals unable to attend due to a medical reason, can fill out a Proxy Designation Form to allow their proxy to enroll them in the program.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be continuing to provide home delivery for many existing Food for Seniors clients. New clients and clients who have been unable to receive their Food for Seniors box via home delivery, can participate in the program by attending one of the public distribution locations below.
