Health & Nutrition Classes

Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) is a food distributor to over 120 partner agencies who share our mission: to fight food insecurity for the poor and the working poor of Sacramento County.

We feed the community both figuratively and literally and strive to improve the future health of families in need with classes offered through our Health & Nutrition program. Classes offered by our SFBFS’ Health and Nutrition team teach families and individuals how to incorporate healthy and nutritious foods into their diet. SFBFS also partners with other local agencies to distribute health and nutrition information such as managing diabetes and combating obesity.

The California Department of Public Health, with funding from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – USDA SNAP, produced this material. These institutions are equal opportunity providers and employers. For important nutrition information, visit www.CalFreshHealthyLiving.org.

Nutrition Classes

Classes are offered to adults 18 and older at both SFBFS campuses and partner sites throughout the community. Classes are taught in English and Spanish.
